Andrea Belgrade, PhD

I founded Method4Change because I am passionate about bridging the gap between research and impact. I advise researchers how to conduct conscious research centering dignity and equity at every stage of the research process, from ideation, to methods, to communication. I also consult with researchers as they consider the broader impacts of their work and I develop strategies to effectively communicate their research to policy makers and the public. I also work with individuals and teams to develop methodological expertise, form study protocols, and execute the research, making dream projects a reality.

I earned my PhD from the University of Michigan, Department of Psychology. My work is published in a wide variety of academic journals on topics such as migration, multiculturalism, wellbeing, social change, and adversity. I developed a particular interest in methodology and specialize in mixed methods and participatory action research. I also developed advocacy and policy expertise working with the National Conference of State Legislatures, Student Advocates for Graduate Education, and Graduate Rackham International. I currently work at the University of California, Office of the President, Institutional Research and Academic Planning where I conduct systemwide survey research to inform university policy.
